Saltaire
The pub is situated in the Victorian village of Saltaire - north
of Bradford and south of Keighley.
The village was built around the Woolen Mill to house its
workers, and was self contained with a school, church and
hospital.
The Mill which stands between the Leeds Liverpool canal
and the river Aire, was converted into a gallery and now shows
an impressive collection of art by Bradford born David Hockney.
In 2001 the village was designated a World Heritage Site
due to its historical importance.
