Fanny's is a traditional alehouse
with wooden floorboards, authentic gaslights and an open fire
which blazes merrily during the colder months of the year. Situated
on the eastern perimeter of Saltaire Village (a major West Yorkshire
tourist attractor and since 2003, World Heritage Site) the pub,
with its convivial atmosphere, is a popular meeting place for
many well-known local characters and favourite haunt of Saltaire's
growing community of artists & musicians. However the fine
selection of well-kept real ales also attracts an appreciative
clientele from further afield. Among the drinks available are:
10 hand-pulled cask ales
--- Taylor's "Landlord" and "Golden Best",
Theakston's "Old Peculier" and a wide variety
of guest beers mainly chosen from microbreweries within
a thirty mile radius.
3 permanent lagers:
"Warsteiner", "Beck's" and "Alpine
Lager" (formerly "Ayingerbrau").
A selection of Belgian bottled
beers such as "Leffe", "Westmalle",
"Erdinger", "Maiselsweiss" and "Veltin's".
2 draught ciders:
"Weston's Old Rosie" and "Stowford Press".
Fanny's has been in the CAMRA good
beer guide for the last nine years, during which time
it has twice been voted "Pub of the Season".
